The HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 Controller supports 12 Gb/s SAS drives and PCIe 3.0. It delivers enterprise-grade performance, reliability, security, and storage capacity efficiency needed to meet increasingly demanding data storage requirements. The controller features eight internal SAS lanes, enabling connections to SAS or SATA drives. It supports simultaneous mixed-mode operation of RAID and HBA and encrypts data at rest on all drives. The Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 Controller is ideal for optimizing performance and also supports advanced RAID levels with 2 GB of Flash-Backed Write Cache (FBWC). This modular Type-A controller occupies a dedicated storage slot, not a PCIe expansion slot.
